USB Extension Cable extends an existing USB 2.0 device such as a Jump Drives, doing away with struggles to connect peripherals to a computer. The USB standard limits the length of a USB cable to 5 meters (about 16.5 ft.). If you need to extend a device further, you may use a USB Active Extension cable. The USB Active Extension Cable is a 16 foot long and contains active electronics which regenerate the USB signal over extended distances. Up to 5 of the USB Active Extension cables (4 if connected to a USB Hub) can be linked together to extend the distance to your USB peripheral to over 80 feet.
