Start Magnifier

Start Magnifier describes how to make items on the screen appear larger. Magnifier, the magnification program built into Windows Vista, enables you to choose magnification levels from 2 to 16 times the original size, and to choose to track the mouse, the keyboard, or text editing.

Accessibility Features For Login Screen

The Ease of Access options on the login screen can be started by clicking on the Ease of Access icon in the bottom left of the screen, or by pressing Tab until the icon is highlighted and then pressing Enter to bring up the options.

You can apply the options by clicking on the relevant checkbox and then clicking OK or pressing the Tab key to move to the desired accessibility option, such as Magnifier. Pressing the Spacebar selects the option. Pressing Enter will apply the selection.

Start Magnifier After Logon

There are two ways to start Magnifier after logging on:

  1. Start Magnifier from Quick Access to common tools for use in the current session, or
  2. Turn on Magnifier so that it automatically starts each time you log on.
