Using Asset Tracker

Asset Tracker is a tool for managing "Assets" that is integrated into RT. The interface should be immediately familiar to anyone who has used RT.

The way AT works is analogous to RT:

• In RT you have Queues, in AT you have Asset Types
• In RT you have Tickets, in AT you have Assets
• Assets have Statuses, just like Tickets.
• Assets can have Custom Fields, just like Tickets.

Working with Assets

To create a new Asset:

1. Click Assets from the RT menu to go to the main AT screen.
2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, select the type of asset to create from the drop-down box.
3. Click the New asset of type button.

To find assets:

• Use the Asset Search
• Use the Asset Query Builder
