Asset Search
From CSS Wiki
The "Asset Search" box at the top of each page in RT can be used to quickly find assets.
There are four different search modes, which are automatically selected depending on the text that is entered:
- Asset ID search: If you enter numbers, and nothing more, into the search box you will be taken directly to the asset with that ID number.
- Location search: If you enter something which looks like a building code and room number (e.g. KNE 130, CMU B006), you will be shown all assets which have that as their location.
- CSS tag search: If you enter something which looks like a legacy CSS tag (e.g. DC-0131), you will be shown any asset (their ought to be only one) which have that as their CSS tag.
- Barcode Search: If you enter "b", followed by a five-digit number and nothing more, you will be taken to the asset which has the barcode value equal to the number you entered.
- Name search: If your search doesn't match any of the above requirements, all assets which contain your term in their name will be shown.
For more search options, use the Asset Tracker Query Builder.
