Custom Fields

Tickets in RT can have custom fields. Custom fields are used to keep track of things which are related to the ticket, such as the location of the problem or the piece of equipment which needs attention.

Location

All tickets in the CSS system have the location field. Enter the location of the problem or request. This must always be written in the standard notation of BLDG ROOM, i.e. KNE 130 for Kane Hall, room 130. You can click on any ticket's location, and it will take you to that room's web page, if it exists.

Equipment

All tickets in the CSS system have the equipment field.


Labor ID

Tickets related to workorders have the Labor ID custom field. This is the number assigned to that job in the ResDB. If you click on the Labor ID, it will take you to the printable workorder that corresponds to the job.
