- Introduces Duro Ladipo--founder, director, playwright, composer and principal male actor of the Duro Ladipo Traveling Theatre Company of Oshogbo, Nigeria--and his folk operas. Ladipo explains how he became interested in drama and music. The members of his company are seen touring the Yoruba villages. A portion of a command performance before the Alapin of Oyo, the traditional ruler of the Yoruba people, is one of several examples of Ladipo's folk operas which were filmed during the tour.
