Observes the unique and significant activities of the April to September dry season. An extensive hunting and fishing expedition stocks the vast community lodge for the prolonged festivities. Puberty rites recount the history and origins of the tribe and ascertain that the young have mastered the skills of maturity: fishing for the boys and preparation of the basic food for the girls. The tattooing ceremony is accompanied by a complex dance of white-faced initiates and sponsors dressed in toucan and macaw feathers to the beat of ingenious instruments.
