- 1970 ----- color ----- 20 min ----- 16mm
- The similarities of much of the music of the Middle East and Balkans are traced back to the spread of Mohammedanism. Such instruments as the oud, santur, quanun, cimpalum and dumbek are introduced and played. The concepts of highly ornamented melodic lines and asymmetrical rhythms are demonstrated. Finally, dance is combined with music.
