The six-episode series profiles such diseases as Ebola fever, SARS, the West Nile virus, HIV/AIDS, and the avian flu. Included on this disk are- Back to the Basics (54 min) Contrasts regions with a lack of the “basics” (i.e. Clean water, Vitamins, etc) with countries that have an overabundance of them (resulting in obesity, Diabetes, etc).
- How Safe Are We? (54 min) Takes a look at infectious diseases (such as Ebola, AIDS, and avian flu) and the threat that they pose along with ways in which nations try to help those infected while preventing new cases. (Restricted to use on University of Washington campuses only)
