- (Historical Collection) Development of smile and of fear of strangers during the first year of life in identical and fraternal twins is shown. Identical twins show greater concordance. Infants become more selective, smiling only at familiar persons. Strangers are probably the first persons to elicit fear. Similarity of twins' fear of strangers is shown.
