- (Note di viaggio in 3 parti Di Michelangelo Antonioni; directed and narrated by Michelangelo Antonioni; produced by RAI--Radiotelevisione Italiana) Even though China had invited Antonioni to film in their country, he was only allowed to visit and film in specific areas: Beijing; Linxian County, Henan; Nanjing, Jiangsu; Shanghai; Suzhou, Jiangsu. Antonioni and his crew visit the Red Flag Canal, a collective farm in Henan and the old city of Suzhou, preserving a unique historical moment when China was still closed to the outside world.
