Gypsies in Canada: The Promised Land? (11 min) Gypsies--also known as Roma--from the Czech Republic have fled to Canada claiming institutionalized persecution in their homeland. Examines the situation from both sides of the Atlantic and raises issues of racism, immigration policies, and cultural conflict. 4. The New Toronto: Is Bigger Better? (13 min) As our cities grow and we begin to look seriously at our land use, we also become aware of the impact of urbanization on the individual and collective lifestyles.
