American Canadian Relations*

- (A Focus Documentary) Sharing what has often been called "The World's Longest Undefended Border", Canada and the United States have a long history of interdependency. But it's not always been peace and light. These days volleys of canon and rifle shot are replaced by volleys of words about trade, clean air, clean water, even cable television. And it's also a unique economic sharing from "hard trade" of the "auto pact" to "soft trade" of the Walt Disney Company owning the marketing rights to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Contributors to this particular "volly of words" includes: Raymond Cretien, Canadian Ambassador to the U. S.; James Blanchard, U. S. Ambassador to Canada; Gordon Ritchie, Strategica, Inc.; Gary Hufbauer, Institue for International Economics; Peter Morici, University of Maryland; Roy Maclaren, Canadian Minister for International Trade; Keith Kelly, Canadian Conference of the Arts; Maury Lane, Westinghouse Electric Corporation; Charles Meissner, U. S. Department of Commerce; Burkhard Mausberg, Great Lakes United; Eleanor Kulin, Environment Canada; Stephen Brandt, Great Lakes Center, Buffalo State College; Paul Muldoon, Canadian Environmental Law Association; Pierre Berton, Writer.
