  • (Directed by Victor Fleming and J. Theodore Reed, screenplay by Douglas Fairbanks, Tom J. Geraghty, Lewis Weadon from the story by Douglas Fairbanks; with Douglas Fairbanks, Kathleen Clifford, Frank Campeau, Ralph Lewis, Daisy Robinson, Bull Montana) Dr. Ulrich Metz, erudite doctor of psychiatry, has, for the last three months, been manipulating the mind of ebullient New York, Daniel Boone Brown (Fairbanks) in a medical experiment which seems more mad scientist than ethical doctor. The doc goes as far as sabotaging Daniel's romance with the adorable Lucette Bancrot. In the throes of cracking up, Daniel turns to the doctor for help. While the Doctor is comforting him, he slips a gun into Daniel's pocket. What will happen? The film is an out and out spoof of psychiatry and includes some great gags, stunts and dream sequences that borrow from the worlds of Sigmund Freud and Salvadore Dali. (With a musical soundtrack) [Funded by the Department of Comparative Literature] (Restricted to use on University of Washington campuses only)
