Cucaracha, La
- 1934 ----- color ----- 21 min ----- 16mm
- This short subject was the first three color film of a dramatic subject. It was photographed in the 35mm three-strip Technicolor process and release prints were produced by the imbibition printing (dye transfer) process. It was unique in that an artist and scenic designer worked with the technical people in the execution of the color and the result was a notable and impressive demonstration of the dramatic value of color.
