- Presents the political life of Winston Churchill from the close of World War II to his death in 1965. Documents his party's defeat at the polls and his removal from the office of the prime minister and his eventual return, in 1951, to the same position. Presents many of his speeches in which he warned about Russia's drive for power, the Iron Curtain of Europe, his call for European unity, as well as some of his campaign speeches.
