- (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Robin McCabe, renowned pianist and Director of the University of Washington School of Music. To start off, McCabe performs Chopin's "Etude, Opus 10". They discuss McCabe's approach to teaching music--by using a performer's sensibility along with the practicality of a student's perspective. She talks about what it was like as a performer, her attendance at the University of Washington, and what it was like at Julliard. McCabe also points out what it takes to be a performer and a student, and tells of her hopes for the School of Music.
