  • The Province of Quebec is one of the top five exporters of lumber products in the world. With 60 modern pulp mills, pulp and paper products are the top export in Quebec's $4 billion forest industry. Quebec's trees have the natural advantage of exceptionally long softwood fibers which makes for unusually strong papers. Through hybridization, grafting and successive selection, the trees which are now being planted will also have an improved growth rate and resistance to disease.
