- Winner of an Oscar nomination and dozens of awards around the world, this great NFBC classic is a nostalgic recollection of the Klondike gold rush. The commentary by the well-know author and TV personality, Dawson City-born Pierre Berton, based largely on stories told to him by his father who spent forty years in the Klondike, vividly recaptures the frenzied months when prospectors braved untold hardships in search of the elusive yellow metal. Live footage and vintage photographs help bring alive the men and women who made Yukon history.
