Cracking the Stone Age Code
- 1971 ----- color ----- 50 min ----- 16mm/vhs
- Examines the work of Alexander Thom, an ex-Oxford Professor of Engineering, who has dedicated his life to the study of the stone circles of Britain. Thom takes us on a tour of the sites of Britain's most significant megaliths as he carefully builds a case for the astronomical significance of each of these stone-age observatories. Shows how the builders were able to predict eclipses, develop an accurate calendar and imply Pythagorean geometry 2,000 years before Pythagoras.
