• (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Kazuo Ishiguro, author of The Remains of the Day, which won the prestigious Booker Prize in 1989 and later became a popular film. Ishiguro discusses his methods of writing each of his works, as well as his expectations going into each project as well as the expectations of his audience. His novels concern the ways in which people come to terms with the failure and mistakes of the past, particularly in countries in the midst of major cultural changes.
