He discusses the decline of the Soviet empire and global politics in the 21st Century. Professor Ellison also served as chief consultant for the 1995 PBS series "Messenger from Moscow." He He relates how the timing of the interviews for the production (just after the coup in 1991) allowed for a broader, more extensive view of the inner-workings of the country.
