- (Colores (KNME-TV) Series) Zuni Pueblo artist Phil Hughte presents another side to the story of historic anthropologist Frank Hamilton Cushing. Cushing was send to study the Zuni in 1879 by the Smithsonian Institute for three months, yet he stayed for more than four years and came to embrace the many aspects of Zuni identity. While he is reknowned for his pioneering anthropological work, Cushing remains a living part of Zuni Culture. Humorous Zuni stories of this man from Washington are still being passed on by word of mouth.
