Women at War (Excerpt): Created by women, primarily for women, this British archival excerpt demonstrates a significant difference in tone and treatment from Canadian war-time films.(4 min) 6c. Service in the Sky (Excerpt): This 1957 clip about training air stewardesses promotes careers for women while strongly touting marriage as the fitting and final end to a woman's formal work life.(4 min) 7. Attention: Women at Work! (Excerpt): A mid-80's portrait of a competent female hovercraft pilot which contrsts starkly both in its message and form with Canadian post-war films about women.(7 min) 8. Thin Dreams: Through discussion and improvised skits, a group of young women discuss the pressures they feel to live up to their society's standards of thinness.(21 min) 9. No Way! Not Me (Excerpt): A collage of current media images from magazines, commercials and rock videos is used to illustrate the words of Rosemary Brown as she speaks to a teenage audience about the root causes of feminine poverty.(2 min) 10.
