- (Americas series, Part 8) Addresses internal and external challenges to national sovereignty in the Americas. Jamaica is still seeking to display its' independence, but because of past involvement from the United States and Great Britain, the country's potential has never been realized. Columbia has been besieged with guerrilla warfare and drug- trafficking, mostly because of desperation and a steady market in the Northen Hemisphere. However, the country's new president sees a brighter perspective. He has changed the negative energy into positive force by instituting a legislative assembly that represents all of Colombia.
