The new force in the region is the Chilean women, of every social class, who have taken it upon themselves to ensure political and social equality, to create better living conditions for their families. Reviews the Chilean past with its socialist and militaristic regimes and how the influences of the past have shaped the society today. Views the actions of women of the upper classes and how their view of society is shaped and how they have tried to preserve the best and change the rest.
