• Teenage pregnancies and teen HIV infection are major problems in the Latino community. Profiles a Cuban-American teenager with AIDS who has dedicated his life to public awareness efforts and to the education of Miami Latinos (contains sexually explicit language), traces the major factors contributing to the fact that 72% of minority women infected with the HIV virus are Hispanic; and focuses on the cultural factors that may underlie the extraordinarily high--and rising--number of teenage pregnancies among Latinas.
