Professor Migdal talks about the common misunderstandings people have about the culture and activities of the countries in the Middle East. With the end of the Cold War, the states of the Middle East felt abandoned. After all, the main battle lines were oil and the geographical proximity to the U.S.S.R. Now the possibility of the new state of Palestine affects all the region.
