(Upon Reflection series)
Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Kent Stowell and Francia Russell, co-artistic directors of the Pacific Northwest Ballet. They examine the history of the company and what the two of them brought to the company. They discuss the qualities that set it apart from other dance companies--fresh, clean, open, athletic--attributes they feel reflect the community. The stylistic influences on the company including Balanchine are described and footage of rehearsals of modern and classical works are included.
