Radiation Fog Processes: A Field Experiment in the Po Valley

- (Produced by the National Research Council of Italy) Illustrates the negative effects of atmospheric changes and how these changes are brought about by modifying the composition and concentration of the minor constituents of the atmosphere. Fog and clouds are especially important as they are suspected of being the crucial link between emission of pollutant into the atmosphere and subsequent deposition as acid rain. Reviews a major international field experiment in Italy which studied and measured the concentration of important chemical components in the gas, droplet and particulate phases and the thermal dynamic conditions of the atmosphere at the time.
