Who Was Will Shakespeare? (Charles Vere)
- 1992 ----- color ----- 28 min ----- vhs
- (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Charles Vere, Earl of Burford, Elizabethan scholar. Mr. Vere discusses the possibility that the works attributed to W. Shakespeare were, in fact, written by his ancestor, Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford. The fight between the Stratfordians and the Oxfordians, begun by Thomas Loney, continues today. The eighteen characteristics which separate de Vere, the aristocrat, from "Shakespeare," the tradesman, are explored.
