Dr. Leakey examines the origin of humanness, especially in relationship to chimpanzees; the difficulty religion, especially Christianity, has with man not being the center of the universe. He debunks accepted characteristics, tool making, communication, etc. He speaks of the difficulty in popularizing the technical issues in paleo-anthropology and his relationship with his famous parents.
