Comparative Plasmodial Types and Sporulation in the Myxomycetes

- Records plasmodial and sporangial phases in the life cycle of Echinostelium minutum, Didymium nigripes (Kerr's strain) and Stemonitis flavogentia. Mitosis in uninucleate, binucleate, four-nucleate and multi-nucleate plasmodia is illustrated. The growth, streaming patterns and coalescence of plasmodia are presented. The morphogenesis of plasmodia to sporangia is included.
