Community Resources for the Elderly

- People of all ages have problems coping with their environment. Older adults--an often stigmatized group--endure uncomfortable situations. They suffer losses as their friends and spouses die, their finances change, their mobility diminishes, hearing and vision decrease, their illnesses become chronic, loneliness infiltrates. Presents some of the agencies and organizations in Seattle that are working together to help the elderly combat these problems--The Visiting Nurse Program, Occupational Therapists, Home Health Aides, Meals on Wheels, Choreworkers, The Home Sharing Program.
