Dying to Be Thin

- Looks at the lives of several people who literally risked death in order to be thin. One of them--Randy Myers--did die, at age 16. His family and people recovering from anorexia and bulimia candidly offer their stories with the hope that they can he lp others obtain treatment and recovery. Focuses on adults, including two men who suffered from eating disorders, dispels the myth that anorexia and bulimia are adolescent female diseases. Discusses the causes of eating disorders, providing both individ ual and family profiles of typical victims, including early warning signs and physical and psychological effects.
