Making of a Package Deal, The*
- 1982 ----- color ----- 29 min ----- 16mm
- Former BBC documentary producers turned authors, Max Morgan-Wits and Gordon Thomas, work through the steps of a package deal for a book they have yet to write on the 1929 stock market crash, The Day the Bubble Burst. In the search for less risky products with bigger returns for each investment, the publishing industry now routinely joins forces with others to create properties--books that will be made into films or television programs. Follows the writers through package negotiations, research and writing, book fairs and speaking tours, etc. (Deposited by the Puget Sound Educational Service District) (Restricted to use by institutions of learning within the State of Washington only)
