- (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Art Spiegelman, artist and author of Maus, A Survivor's Tale and Maus II. Maus is an epic story told in tiny pictures describing the survival of his parents in the holocaust in comic book form. Maus II moves back and forth between past and present revealing the pain of a father/son relationship. Mr. Spiegelman speaks of the generation "canyon" between he and his parents and of his need to know their history. He needed to put things in "chronological order and put it in little boxes to safely contain and understand what my family had gone through."
