- (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Andrei Codrescu, commentator for NPR, poet and author. They discuss his latest work, A Hole in the Flag, the story of a Romanian exile's return to his homeland and the revolution. Mr. Codrescu speaks of life and terror in Romania before Nicolae Ceausescu's fall. He explains the euphoria of the people after the execution and how, suddenly, it seemed that things were not as they seemed. He examines the nationalistic fascist movement of the "Romanian hearth."
