- (Faces of Change series) Visits the aymara community of Vitocota and the mestizo town of Ayata, in northern Bolivia, to explore the deep division in Andean society between campesinos and mestizos, rural and townspeople. The division begins at birth, is perpetuated by the schools, and continues throughout life. Shows evidence of the discrimination in the physical condition of the malnourished and diseased campesino children examined by a traveling mestizo doctor. Reveals how the situation is not mitigated by the formal Flag Day festivities which bring the Indians and mestizos together. (Produced by American Universities Field Staff) (In Native Indian dialect and Spanish with English subtitles)
