Afghan Nomads: The Maldar

- (Faces of Change series) Opening scenes show a caravan of Afghan nomads descending on the village of Aq Kupruk from the foothills of the Hindu Kush. Maldar nomads set up camp, sell sheep and goats, and buy supplies at the bazaar. The mixture of faith and distrust that has kept nomads and sedentarists separate yet interdependent over the centuries is revealed in the narration, and native dialogue with English subtitles.
