- (Upon Reflection series) Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Seattle mayor, Norm Rice. They discuss ways to prevent the economic decline and the disillusionment that follows any city's significant growth. They also discuss the factors that people consider when deciding where to live and the ways in which Mr. Rice is continually working to improve these factors in Seattle. Mr. Rice also compares Seattle to the cities of Canada, describes his background, and discusses the reasons for the election results leading to his victory in 1989.
