Inmates and staff spoke about their lives and the pressures of doing time in the deplorable conditions at the Penitentiary of New Mexico--the scene, just weeks later, of the bloodiest prison riot in American history. Ten years later, the makers of Doing Time returned to New Mexico to discover what has happened to those men and that ill-fated institution.
