How Tasty Was My Little Frenchman* (Como era gostoso o meu Frances)
- 1971 ----- color ----- 79 min ----- vhs
(Directed by Nelson Pereira dos Santos) A slyly entertaining mixture of anthropology, black humour, gorgeous color photography, ubiquitous nudity and unsettling prophecy. A 16th-century French explorer is shipwrecked on the coast of Brazil. His crew is slain and he, alone, survives. He tries to integrate himself into the Indian tribe that captured him. Finally he succeeds in gaining acceptance when, on the first anniversary of his capture, he is consumed by the entire tribe.
