  • This narrated collection of historical photographs traces the history of Washington State's early Jewish community. Jews were a part of each wave of immigration to Washington and an established part of every segment of life. Included are: their occupations, forms of entertainment and social activities. Also described is the growth of synagogues in the Yesler Way District and how the barrier of anti-semitism affected the Jews' early life in Washington. (Donated by Washington Centennial '89)
