  • 1990 marks the 91st birthday of the famed architect Pietro Belluschi. After receiving an architectural engineering degree from the University of Rome, he moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1925. Until 1951, when he became Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at MIT, Belluschi produced a body of work that won him international recognition. Presents representative buildings that pioneered his "Northwest Style"--churches, homes, the Portland Art Museum and the Equitable Building.
