- (Ethnic Music and Dance series) The master musician of North India, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, demonstrates a short example of North Indian classical music. He plays the instrument which he has helped to make famous in India and abroad, the sarod. In this performance he is assisted by the tabla player, Pandit Mahapursh Misra and his own son, Ashis Khan, playing the drone instrument, the tanpura. (Release of University of Washington Press)
