- (Produced by the Seattle-King County Red Cross) One of the primary challenges of the AIDS epidemic will be the development of the resources needed to provide continuing care and support for those with the disease. As the number of people living with AIDS increases, a growing emphasis must also be placed on providing education and training for those volunteers, family members, lovers and professionals who will become caregivers. "Although each caregiving relationship is unique, they all involve a partnership between those who are giving and those who are receiving care--a shared journey in which people are working together to challenge the odds."
