Moving Picture Boys in the Great War, The

• This documentary, narrated by Lowell Thomas, studies the changing American attitude as isolationism is abandoned and the U.S. becomes directly involved in World War I. Film segments from commercial films, World War I news footage and accounts of propagandistic use of newsreels illustrate the relationship and the changing American attitude toward the conflict in Europe and the content of motion pictures from 1914 to 1918. (With black and white sequences)
