Granby's Primates: A Captive Life
- 1984 ----- color ----- 28 min ----- vhs
- Primates, among the most endangered species, are subject to a different danger in the protective custody of a zoo--boredom. They often exhibit bizarre behavior, become overweight and withdrawn, and fail to reproduce. At the Granby Zoo in Quebec, university students built a complex habitat of ropes, nets and poles which gave the animals places to hide, play and rest. Shows the remarkable changes that took place as they discovered their new playgrounds.
