Fourth Stage, The

• Mr. E. R. Sethuram, a Bangalore journalist, finds that, at 64, he is increasingly dissatisfied with the "real" world and feels he needs to find a different truth--a new beginning. He thinks he may be ready for the "Fourth Stage" in the life of a Hindi--sannyasa--a time to renounce the known world and all its values and attachments and to seek for something different, a time of preparing for mystical enlightenment. He speaks with his family and then goes on pilgrimage to various gurus at different holy places in India searching for awareness.
